I hate talking about myself.
When I was a young kid, I was obsessed with MS paint on Windows 95. I painted a scene of Hello Kitty and her friends going to the movies. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was already starting my career in graphic design. Later, I found myself graduating from the University of Texas of Austin with a BA in Journalism with no desire to tell stories with words but instead with visuals.
I moved to California in 2014 and began a career in tech, mainly working in brand and marketing at various tech companies. Now after six years in tech, I have no desire to work for soulless companies.
I believe every designer has a moment of existential dread when they ask “why does my work matter?” Some days it’s easy to answer that question and other days, not so much. Ultimately, I just want to feel proud of my work and help people in the process. If you’re down for that, let’s talk.
